The '''Mini Classics''' are a series of LCD handheld games featuring licensed ports of [[Game & Watch]] titles introduced in 1998, released only in {{wp|Western world|Western territories}}. They were created by the German company Stadlbauer, and were distributed and published by numerous other manufacturers. The games are mostly identical to their original Game & Watch versions, including the clock function, though featuring a miniaturized form factor with a design resembling the [[Game Boy#Game Boy Pocket|Game Boy Pocket]], as well as subtle differences in sound effects. Mini Classics have a stand built-in, with the exception of dual-screen units such as ''[[Donkey Kong (Game & Watch)|Donkey Kong]]''.

The ''Donkey Kong'' model was discontinued shortly after release, but the other three continued production into the 2000s.{{ref needed}} U.S. distribution of the handhelds seems to have ended around 2013, although they may still be available in other countries. No elements were changed with the later models, aside from sound improvements, color variations, and packaging.

It appears that there was a planned Mini Classics version of ''[[Donkey Kong 3 (Game & Watch)|Donkey Kong 3]]'' that was canceled. An extremely rare limited-edition gold version of ''Super Mario Bros.'' existed, of which only 99 units were ever produced. This version was available only as a gift to "Special Friends and Partners" of Stadlbauer. These are ''[[Parachute (Game & Watch)|Parachute]]'', ''[[Fire (Game & Watch)|Fire]]'', ''[[Octopus (Game & Watch)|Octopus]]'', ''[https://zelda.gamepedia.com/Zelda_(Game_%26_Watch) Zelda]'', and ''[[Oil Panic]]''. The latter was never released outside of Europe.
