"Kids Rights Day" is an episode of King Koopa's Kool Kartoons that aired in September 1989.[1]

Summary[edit]

King Koopa enters the studio, carrying a box as Koopa's Troopas cheer him on. After Koopa cheers with them, he announces that today is "Kids Rights Day" and says that he has a box full of children's rights. After he opens the box, the only items revealed to be inside it are left-handed gloves. Koopa then announces he will be giving away a copy of The Children's Giant Atlas of the Universe to the Troopa in the selected seat, which is labeled on a card Ratso has. After pulling the card away from Ratso, Koopa calls on the Troopa on the seat labeled "Red 7," who is revealed to be Billy. Koopa gives the book to Billy and tells him to wave at his parents. Koopa then announces that he will play the cartoons he likes, claiming that if he would not, he will hold his breath until he turns pink. The Gabby cartoon, All's Well, then plays.

After the cartoon plays, Koopa says he wants kisses from his fans, as Hershey's Kisses fall above him, and Koopa's Troopas enter the set to collect them.[citation needed] Koopa then makes an ad-lib, reportedly at an African-American child, where he jokingly asks, "Where're you from? Biafra?!" before laughing.
