Chef Toad appears in an animated video presented as a window from a waiting area into the kitchen of the café. In the video, the chef walks into view and begins preparing food, then notices guests through the window, greets them, and introduces them to the restaurant.

According to the Super Nintendo World website, the [[Super Nintendo World#Available food and drinks|Super Mushroom Pizza Bowl with Mushroom Tomato Sauce]] is Chef Toad's secret recipe.

Chef Toad makes his first appearance outside of Super Nintendo World in ''[[The Super Mario Galaxy Movie]]'', where he is briefly seen at [[Princess Peach|Peach]]'s birthday party and gives [[Luigi]] a cupcake.

==Physical description==
Chef Toad is a male Toad whose mushroom cap is red with white round spots, bearing a resemblance to a [[Super Mushroom]]. A white chef's hat is worn on top of his mushroom cap. His main attire features a white chef's coat with yellow round buttons, and a red scarf surrounds his neck.
