Category talk:Nintendo Music tracks

Necessary?

I'm not so sure about the usefulness of this category. MarioWiki:Categories discourages overly broad categories, and this one sure seems overly broad. The contents of every game that has its soundtrack on Nintendo Music are just being dumped here in a big pile - it's already getting unwieldy with just over 200, and we're not even close to having articles for the hundreds of tracks that are currently on the app. It would make more sense for navigation to trim this down as much as possible and have Category:Super Mario Bros. music etc. be subcategories under here... but at that point I don't see what the category is doing that Category:Nintendo Music and the dedicated articles for each soundtrack aren't already doing. Yeah, this will get even bigger eventually, delete. The "(game) music" categories are more helpful and people will already find them under the "Music" category. Mario JC 00:59, August 14, 2025 (EDT)
