Beginner 2 (Mario Kart Racetrack Logic Game)

The challenge

Beginner 2 is the second beginner challenge of Mario Kart Racetrack Logic Game. The challenge asks the player who will pick up the Item Box.

Overview

The challenge consists of an Item Box in the first row and fourth column, a Banana Peel in the second row and first column, a Green Shell in the third row and second column, and a Dash Mushroom in the third row and fourth column. The challenge also features the following clues:

• Nobody is located in the same row as Peach.
• Luigi is located directly above the Banana.
• Mario is located directly above Yoshi.
• Bowser is located directly above the Green Shell.
• Peach is somewhere in front of the Green Shell.

Using these hints, it is known that Luigi is in the first row and first column, above the Banana Peel, while Bowser is in the second row and second column, above the Green Shell and to the right of the Banana Peel.

This leaves Princess Peach, who is known to be somewhere in front of the Green Shell, Mario, who is known to be directly above Yoshi, and Yoshi, whose position is not hinted by any of the clues. Mario must be located in the first row and third column, to the left of the Item Box, with Yoshi in the second row and third column, and Peach in the third row and third column, who is between the Green Shell and Dash Mushroom.

As Mario is in the first row and third column, directly to the left of the Item Box, he will be the racer who will pick up the Item Box.
