Miss Petunia, the Bathing Beauty (Japanese: ミス・ブーニャ Miss Būnya), is a portrait ghost of unknown age from Luigi's Mansion. She was the "Miss Ghost" runner-up from six years before the appearance of Luigi's Mansion in Boo Woods. Apparently, she hasn't done much modeling work since and has gained a lot of weight. In fact, besides being overweight, she also has pig-like features, including a pig snout, hooves for hands, and a pink hue. Wearing her showering cap and bathing suit, Miss Petunia spends her time in Luigi's Mansion taking showers in the Bathroom on the second floor. Ultimately, she is captured by the heroic Luigi during the search for his brother Mario.
When Luigi first enters the Bathroom on the second floor, he notices the voluptuous silhouette of a woman behind the shower curtain. Luigi decides to pull back the curtain with the Poltergust 3000 to get a better look. Much to his surprise, he discovers Miss Petunia inside the shower. Angered that Luigi opened her curtain, Petunia shoots a blast of scalding hot water at Luigi, delivering ten HP of damage. She then goes back to her shower. Luigi decides to give her a blast of ice using his newly acquired Ice Elemental Medal. The ice causes Miss Petunia to sneeze, making her vulnerable, and Luigi sucks the ghost in with the Poltergust. Although she strongly tugs in an attempt to escape, Luigi eventually wins the battle and captures Miss Petunia. After capturing the porcine portrait ghost, Luigi acquires the key needed to open the door to the Billiards Room.

Physical Appearance
Miss petunia wears a multicolored bathing suit with a matching shower cap. She has pig hooves for hands and matching pink nose.
She has a sideways oval shaped head with a very distinct chin. She has hot pink skin and small yellow eyes with long black lashes, currently the only things pretty about her.

- According to Nana's diary, the grandmother ghost once played a practical joke on Miss Petunia by filling her bathtub with ice while the former "Miss Ghost" runner-up was away. When Miss Petunia returned to her bath, she was in for quite a shock. This diary entry gives Luigi a clue on how to capture Petunia during the events of Luigi's Mansion.
- The Looney Tunes character Petunia Pig may have been the inspiration for Miss Petunia, who is similarly-named and resembles a pig herself. However, this has not been confirmed and may just be a coincidence.
- She also bears some resemblance to Madame Flurrie.
- She is the only ghost in "Luigi's Mansion" that wears a bathing suit.
- In an E3 2001 beta presentation of Luigi's Mansion, Luigi enters the bathroom in which Miss Petunia is ordinarily bathing in. While her silhouette is visible, when Luigi opens the curtain, no one is there. This could be purely to add a bit of eeriness to the game, or possibly Miss Petunia needed to be exposed by other means. Strangely enough, before Luigi enters Miss Petunia's bathroom, he exits the dining room from a door on the opposite wall from what appears to be the door to the "Sealed Room". The Dining Room, in the final version, is on the first floor rather than the second. A video clip containing this content can be found here.
- The silhouette Luigi sees before pulling the curtain to the side may be what Miss Petunia looked like before she became a ghost.
