Jack-in-the-Boxes[1] are enemies encountered in the Mario Zone's third stage in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. Jack-in-the-Boxes appear from certain blocks along with a single coin. After it is released, it bounces around wildly. To defeat a Jack-in-the-Box, Mario has to jump on its head or shoot a fireball at it.
