Face Blocks are blocks that make faces. They appear in Super Mario Bros. Deluxe and are in Vs. Mode. The white, smiling ones are good, while the red, sticking-their-tounge-out-at-you ones make the level harder.

The Yoshi's Story version.

In Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, Yoshi's Story, and Yoshi's Island DS, they're white and give tips when hit. They are very common in the first world. They are also called Hint Blocks in these two games.

Face Blocks also appear in Super Smash Bros. and Super Smash Bros. Melee in the Yoshi's Island level (unlockable in Melee). They just appear in the background and are not important.

Face Blocks look significantly like Perry Blocks.
