'''Gold Mice''' are apparitions of mice found in the game ''[[Luigi's Mansion]]''. They come out when [[Luigi]] examines one of five pieces of [[cheese]] with his [[Game Boy Horror]] and then scurry around the room before escaping through the wall. Gold Mice also randomly appear in five predetermined rooms or hallways 20% of the time Luigi enters the room or hallway, for a total of ten mice in all throughout the mansion. If Luigi manages to suck one up before it escapes, a large amount of money will spray from the nozzle of the [[Poltergust 3000]], which can include valuable treasures like [[Stone]]s. In the PAL Hidden Mansion, all Gold Mice drop [[Silver Diamond]]s, but they do not drop any [[Stone]]s. Gold Mice (or gold mice),[1][2] also referred to as golden mice,[3] gold mouse ghosts,[4] or gold ghost mice,[5] are ghostly mice that appear in Luigi's Mansion and its remake. They are similar to the Blue Mice and Purple Mice, but they are more prominent because they release treasure if vacuumed into the Poltergust 3000. In this regard, they are similar to Speedy Spirits, which are also hidden ghosts that release treasure. Like Speedy Spirits, Gold Mice release a variety of treasure, which can include coins, bills, Gold Bars, and even a Stone. Every Gold Mouse releases 30 coins, ten more than what Speedy Spirits release. In the PAL Hidden Mansion, each Gold Mouse drops 30 coins, 20 bills, a Gold Bar, and a Blue Diamond.
