Template:Portrait-infobox The Floating Whirlindas, the Dancing Couple (Japanese: ダルッテンふさい Darutten Man and Wife) are two of the Portrait Ghosts who escaped imprisonment in Luigi's Mansion. According to the Game Boy Horror, the Floating Whirlindas used to be the local waltz champions, but unfortunately they aren't allowed to compete anymore because their feet can't touch the ground. The Whirlinda couple were found in the Ball Room on the first floor's east wing of the mansion. After Luigi defeated the six Shy Guy Ghosts in the room, different-almost creepy-music started playing and the Whirlindas appeared, making the dancing floor spin as they waltzed. Now and then they would switch the area they were dancing in, moving on to a different rotating platform. Luigi had to face away from them and wait until the gentleman exclaimed "Dance!". Both would then do a dance pose, making them vulnerable. Additionally, Luigi had to stand on the spinning tiles too, or the couple won't even appear when Luigi wasn't pointing at them. After some medium tugs, Luigi earned the key to the Storage Room.

Physical Appearance

Ms. Whirlinda wears a green patterned dress with a lighter green trim at the sleeves and at the bottom. She also wears a cream colored belt that is light green at the edges. She has yellow hair done up in a really curly style. She also has green eyes with black lashes.

Mr. Whirlinda wears a fancy red long sleeved patterned jacket with a purple shirt underneath. It has purple buttons and matching colored bow-tie. He has orange-yellow hair and green eyes. They both have sky-blue skin.

  • The Whirlindas are the only ghost couple that share one heart and have to be caught at the same time.
  • The Floating Whirlindas, along with Madame Clairvoya and the Clockwork Soldiers, are the only human-esque ghosts in the game that have an unknown age.
