A Grubby is a spiked form of Unera. They are described as slugs and they appear in the Tree Zone, during the events of Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. They can be defeated by hitting a block they're on top of or by using a Star.

Trivia

  • The manual of Super Mario Land 2 states "don't tread on this grub" in Grubby's description; this is likely a reference to the "Don't tread on me" phrase (commonly associated with snakes) featured on many of the United States of America's prototypical flags, such as the Gadsden flag. However, due to the fact that the manual rather overuses the word "tread", this may be a mere coincidence.
