Two Bandits.

Bandits are a tall, larceny-loving sub-species of Shy Guy. Bandits originated from the Yoshi series, although they have gone on to appear in the Paper Mario series as well. In addition to this, Bandits also appeared in Pyramid Park of Mario Party 7.

On Yoshi's Island

Bandits, along with Shy Guys, were two of the most common enemies in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island . Though in the mini-games, Yoshi would face of against a Bandit to win items. If the player uses the mini-game code, the second player can use the second controller to play as the Bandit. Also, they reappear in Yoshi's Island's runner-up, Yoshi's Island DS only less common.

Sub-Species

Notable Bandits

Paper Mario Stats and Tattle Information

  • HP: 5
  • Attack: 2
  • Defense: 0
  • Location: Dry Dry Desert
  • Tattle: This is a Bandit. Bandits bump into you hard and shake up your pockets. They can steal up to 10 coins. They'll slyly approach and then slam into you all of the sudden. If you can damage them in an attack, you can get your stolen coins back. Let's beat 'em before they can make off with our loot!

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Stats and Tattle Information

Regular Bandit Stats

  • HP 5
  • Attack 2
  • Defense 0
  • Locations: Glitzville, Pit of 100 Trials (Levels 21-29)
  • Tattle Number: 44
  • Tattle Log: A petty thief that charges at people and tries to steal coins. If you guard well, though, he can't steal a thing!
  • Tattle: That's a Bandit. This scumbag tries to bump you and grab coins. Jerk! If you time your guard well when he attacks, he won't be able to steal anything. Plus, the look on a Bandit's face when you guard successfully is priceless. If a Bandit steals coins from you, defeat him before he flees to get your coins back.

Big Bandit Stats

  • HP: 8
  • Attack: 3
  • Defense: 0
  • Location: Glitzville
  • Tattle Number: 45
  • Tattle Log: A Bandit boss that steals items as well as coins. Guard when he charges at you to hold on to your goods!
  • Tattle: That's a Big Bandit. Basically, a boss among ordinary Bandits. Unlike other Bandits, he'll steal your items as well as your coins. Totally weak! If you guard well when he charges at you, he'll blow by without stealing anything. If he robs you, you won't get your item back unless you beat him right then. He'll run!

Badge Bandit Stats

  • HP: 12
  • Attack: 5
  • Defense: 0
  • Location: Pit of 100 Trials (Levels 51-59)
  • Tattle Number: 46
  • Tattle Log: A Bandit who steals badges. His HP and Attack are high. Use your Guard well to keep your badges!
  • Tattle: That's a Badge Bandit. He's a Bandit who'll go after your badges. That jerk! He has high attack power and HP. He sometimes steals a badge when he tackles you, so use your guard carefully. And even if he gets one, keep your cool, okay? If he runs from the battle, you can always find him and reengage him.
