'''Snifits''' are a species that bears a resemblance to [[Shy Guy|Shy Guy's]] in appearance, but their masks are capable of shooting black bullets or other objects if they have a theme. They first appeared in [[Doki Doki Panic]] as a walking enemy, but have more recently appeared as floating enemies called [[Snufit]]s in [[Super Mario 64]].

A Snifit resembles a Shy Guy with a black mask. The mask has an extended nozzle that can fire bullets, projectiles or other objects. They first appear in Super Mario Bros. 2. Snifits are rarer than Shy Guys, and usually come in three colors: red, gray, and pink. However, in Worlds 2 and 6 (the desert worlds), the gray Snifits are green. Strangely, there is only one red Snifit in the entire game. In the Super Mario All-Stars version of the game, the pink ones are blue. In Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island, all Snifits are garbed in pink.

In Mario Party 2, Snifits patrol Space Land and are members of the Snifit Police force.
