Alpheta

Hello, Im Alpheta, and Im a huge fan of the Paper Mario series (excluding "Super" Paper Mario).

Paper Mario: The Shadow Aurora

Paper Mario: The Shadow Aurora

For those who don't know, I've made my own Paper Mario game idea. I drew all the maps to the game, the enemies, bosses, partners, and have come up with the storyline.

Story

The storyline for the game revolves around Mario trying to find the seven Light Stars hidden throughout the old country. An evil genie once lost in legend becomes awakened.

Prolouge: A Lost Source of Light

Theme:Town
Partner:Goombill
Boss:Senator Slug

Goombill, with his red beret and black camera

Mario accidentally opens a book which releases The Shadow Aurora, which blankets the sky in a dark glow. The spirits of the Light stars tell mario to come to the Light Pillar in the old country. The main central city of the old country is Founder's Town, with the Founder's Underground underneath the city. Not long after Mario arrives, he meets his first companion, Goombill, who is the Founder's Town photographer. His knowledge of the country is owed to his many travels around the map. A snail known as Senator Slug attempts to stop Mario and Goombill from heading out of town into the Light Path. The Slug-snail somehow heard that Mario had his hands on the Magical Aurora book, and tells Mario that he's after the 7 Light Stars to get his wish granted (or so he thinks). After a fight, Mario and Goombill head to the Light Pillar, where the Light Star's spirits tell Mario that he needs the power of the Light Stars in order to cut a whole in the Aurora to gain entrance to the Aurora Realm. The first path Mario must take is to the East of Founder's Town, into the East Forest.

Chapter 1: Dungeon in Dark

Theme: Forest,Grassland,Castle
Partner: Koomer
Boss: Bomm Koopaza
In order to get to the first Light Star, Mario and Goombill must go through the East Forest, a dark and somewhat spooky area. After the walk in the woods, Mario ends up in Greenville, where he meets a traveling Koopa named Koomer, who has just returned from a trip from the Boggly Woods. Koomer tells Mario that he's lost his favorite hat, which the squirrel that lives next door seems to have "found". After Mario gives the squirrel an Acorn, the squirrel returns Koomer's hat. After Mario gives Koomer his hat back, Koomer decides to join Mario on his quest. With Koomer on his team, Mario was able to gain access to the terrifying building known as "Koopaza Prison". The abandoned prison is full of its used-to-be prisoner's old dead bones, which somehow can come to life and move. After traveling through the extremely long prison, Mario and company somehow manage to enter the chamber of "Bomm Koopaza", the long-living "warden" of the prison. After Koopaza's defeat, Mario gets his hands on the first Light Star. Back on the Light Pillar, the first Light Star can use his powers to locate the location of another Light Star. The next one turns out to be in "Circuit City" (that's right) not too far from the Light Pillar.

Chapter 2: A Power City Unplugged

Theme: Electric City
Partner: Vita
Boss: Zubba Trubba (yes, he's a Clubba type boss)
Mario and friends travel to the glass-domed city of "Circuit City", which uses a major ammount of electricity. Not too long after they enter the city, huge sections of the city start losing there power, and shut down completely. Mario soon finds out that the cause of the city's power outage is the work of the evil "power"-hungry monster "Zubba Trubba". Mario chased down Zubba and his army of Gravitroops all over the city, eventually until Zubba has eaten all of the cities power, except for one building: The "Power Tower", the main source of electricity. Zubba leaves one of his Gravitroops to deal with Mario as he heads for the tower. After Mario beats the Gravitroop, who goes by the name of Vita, she decides to join Mario on his quest, saying that she really doesn't like the fact that Zubba is eating all of Circuit City's power. She can help mario by hovering over dangerous terrain (similar to Lakilester and Carrie, as well as using extra gravity power to hover over wide gaps (similar to Parakarry and Yoshi). With Vita, Mario needs to find the key that opens the entrance to the Power Tower. After finding the key and reaching the tower's upper floor, Zubba attempts to absorb the power of the tower, however realizes that the tower has too much power Zubba can handle, which causes a massive electrical explosion. Mario then must defeat the electrically-charged monster. After his defeat, Mario gets his hands on the second Light Star, and the city once again has its power restored. Back on the Light Pillar, the Light Stars say that in order to find the next Light Star, Mario must traverse through the spooky "Whisper Woods" in the west.

Chapter 3: What Comes From Getting Bitten

Theme: Forest,Spooky
Partner: Boomer (yes, Boomer, he's a Boo, and I came up with this name before I knew about Super Paper Mario, but let's face it, nameing a bomb character boomer is just totally unoriginal)
Boss: Bru von Fangus

As Mario and friends enter the dark and ominous Whisper Woods, Mario meets a lost little "Leaff" kid who is crying cause he is lost. After Mario tells the Leaff that he is not going to hurt the little guy, the Leaff asks if Mario can escort him to his Tree father in the far section of the woods. After managing to get to the Tree, the Tree asks Mario if he can play a game with his 12 Leaff children. The little Leaffs ask Mario if he can play a game of Hide-and-seek. After finding all the Leaffs and returning to the Tree, a ferocious bear named "Ted" comes out of the trees and fights Mario. After Ted's defeat, the Tree allows Mario access to the western exit of the forest. Past the forest exit, Mario finds himself in Boo Village. There he meets a strange Boo who goes by the name of Boomer (that's right, Boomer). Boomer tells Mario about the tale of Bru von Fangus, an evil blood-thirsty vampire who lives in a mansion in the Hollowed Grove. Mario suspects that the mansion has to be connected to one of the Light Stars. He makes his way to west gate and enters through the Hollowed Grove. There a wolf named Wulf E. tells Mario to leave the grove immediately. Suddenly, the vampire Bru von Fangus in bat form comes out and bites Mario on his big nose, causing Mario to turn into a vampire! Wulf E. runs away, and Boomer comes to see what has happened to Mario. He says that the only way Mario can turn back into human is if he kills Bru. Boomer offers to help Mario, however a gang of Boos from Boo Village come down and tell Boomer that no one, especially Boomer, who is the village "nobody", is allowed in the Hollowed Grove.

Mario, transformed into a vampire by Bru von Fangus

Back at Boo village, Boomer says that he'll help Mario get to Bru's Mansion if Mario does Boomer a favor by helping Boomer redeem himself. Boomer joins Mario's party, who gives Mario the power of invisibility, and after a short little mission to gain access to King Boo's Castle, Mario and Boomer talk to King Boo in order to give Boomer access to the Haunted Grove. After Mario and Boomer fight King Boo's henchman, King Boo sees that Boomer is capable of entering the Grove. In the Haunted Grove, Mario and friends make it to Bru's Mansion. After going through Bru's Mansion and finding the Four Keys to the third floor, Mario fights Bru von Fangus in order to turn back into human again. After Bru's defeat, he poofs into a pile of dust, and Mario becomes human again. Mario then finds out that Bru was indeed holding the third Light Star. With the third Light Star in his possession, Mario heads back to the Light Pillar. The three Light Stars tell Mario that the next Light Star can be found on "Bombubus Island" in the south.

Chapter 4: The Army of Bob-ombero

Theme: Island,Volcano
Partner: Bovvle
Boss: Bob-ombero
Mario needs to find a way to get to the far island of "Bombubus Island". Luckily, a submarine is "parked" on the southern port, run by Captain Arkoop, and Mario asks if he can take a ride in his luxury sub. After doing a little mission for Arkoop, Mario takes an underwater ride to Bombubus Island. When Mario reaches the beach of the Island, he sees and visits a small little hut. Inside he meets a Koopa collector named Koopan, who is the cousin of Mario's partner Koomer. Koopan tells Mario about how the island has been taken over by the Bob-omb dictator "Bob-ombero". Mario heads for inside the Rungle Jungle, and soon finds himself in Bombubus Village, a village inhabited by Bob-ombs. Soon after Mario's arrival, Bob-ombero and his army of Soldier Bombs come to the village and stir up some trouble for the mustachioed hero. Bob-ombero says not to do anything that'll screw up his plans. After Bob-ombero has left, Mario explores the other parts of the Rungle Jungle, soon finding out that Bob-ombero's Base is situated right next to "Mt. Chuffo", a volcano on the east side of the island. Two Soldier Bombs block the main path to the Base, and Mario needs to find an alternate way. A hooded figure tells Mario that there is a secret path through the jungle, however one must need the "Sacred Flower" and "Sacred Leaf" to open the pathway. After a long trading sequence to get the the "Sacred Flower" and the "Sacred Leaf" involving a Volcano Ruby, a Lava Rock, a Sweat Rock, a Gold Coconut, and a Waterfall Crystal, Mario places both sacred objects on a shrine deep in the jungle. After both objects are placed, a statue that once stood on the shrine comes alive, which turns out to be Petey Piranha. After Mario beats Petey, Mario now sees Bob-ombero's Base ahead of him. As he enters the base, Mario hides behind a pillar and watches Bob-ombero and his army dicuss their plans of infiltrating Mt. Chuffo and taking the ancient treasure that was hidden in there. After Bob-ombero and his army leave for the volcano, Mario and friends follow inside. Inside the lava caverns, Mario meets an abandoned Soldier Bomb named Bovvle trapped in a crater. After Mario helps him out, Bovvle joins Mario's party by giving him the power of explosions (obviously). After Mario makes it through the volcano and into its deepest and lowest chamber, he manages to catch up to Bob-ombero. Furious, Bob-ombero and his army fight Mario to the death. After Bob-ombero's defeat, the army bombs accidentally drop him into the lava, and find out that they had been mind-controlled by the evil dictator. Moments later, due to the massive force and explosive bulk of Bob-ombero's body in the lava, the volcano begins to shake and rumble, and Mario, his partners, and the Soldier bombs try to escape from the errupting volcano, however the way they came into has become blocked by rocks. Taking the next few paths, Mario and everyone else finds the treasure of the volcano spoken by the late Bob-ombero. The group use the pile of treasure as a bed to float across the lava river and out of Mt. Chuffo. Mario discovers that one of the Light Stars had been in the pile of treasure they had used to escape Mt. Chuffo. As Mario obtains the fourth Light Star, the Soldier Bombs and all bob-ombs on Bombubus Island are happy to be free of Bob-ombero's dictatorship. Back on the Light Pillar, the Light Stars advise Mario to head to the eastern part of the Light Path, where the "Glacier Gate" entrance to "Snowy Summit" resides, and the fifth Light Star as well.

Chapter 5: The Not-So-Jolly Jellies

Theme:Snow,Factory
Partner:Pops
Boss:Georgey Jel
Mario and company walk into the cold region of "Glacier Gate". After finding the four Star Stones throughout the area, Mario opened the gate to "Crystal City", a city inhabited by strange floating ice people. Soon after Mario enters the city, a gang of "Jellies", strange blobs made of green jell-o, come into the city and harass the ice people. Mario comes to the rescue and tries to shoo the jellies away, however due to their gelatinous chemical makeup, Mario's attacks are useless against them, as his attacks just "go right through them". The jellies decide to go back up the "Snowy Summit", leaving Mario to chase after them. Along the way, Mario finds the Jellies' Base, which is locked from the front. He tries to go around the base to the backside, however two Jelly Guards are guarding the backside. Both try to fight Mario, saying that non-jellies are not allowed here. Since Mario cannot penetrate the jellies jello body, he has no choice but to run back to Crystal City. Back at the city, Mario decides to meet the Mayor. The Mayor says that the Jellies have been stirring something up ever since Georgey Jel, the strongest of the Jellies, got his hands on a strange stone with a star depicted on it. The Mayor says that nothing could defeat the Jellies... except... for "General Pops", who served in the army many years ago. He was the only one to find out the Jellies' weakness. Mario heads out to find this mysterious "General Pops", unfortunately finding no clue or lead. Mario then meets "Iyce", a young crystal person, who says that Pops had been inside an abandoned house, and Iyce gives Mario a key to the second floor. After Mario opens up the second floor and finds Pops, Pops says that he can't help Mario with whatever his problem is, and asks him to leave. However, after unlocking the first floor door, Iyce comes into the room and tells his grandfather that the Jellies had returned during his years of isolation. At once, Pops tells Mario that he'll help him defeat the Jellies, since he's the only one who knows their weakness, which he tells Mario on the spot: Pops had learned the power to blow "cold air", which can freeze a Jelly into solid ice. Pops then joins Mario's party, giving him the ability to blow cold air on enemies and anything else (similar to Flurrie blowing wind on objects.). Mario heads back to the two Jelly Guards, and uses Pops' freezing power to freeze the Jelly Guards, which Mario can then attack them with his attacks. After they have been defeated, Mario heads to the backside, only to find out that the back door is locked as well. The only other option is to climb up the rest of "Snowy Summit" up the mountain side. At the summit, Mario sees a "Stonehenge"-like structure, and witnesses Georgey Jel placing a large stone on a central pedestal. The rock shines brightly, then breaks, revealing that a Light Star was contained inside. Georgey tells his two fellow Jellies that the star would make him invincible, however he needs to extract his power. As Georgey is about to leave the summit, Mario comes to him, in which Georgey asks who he is. Pops says that he and Mario have set out to destroy all Jellies on the mountain. Georgey then states that they'll never beat them, however once one his fellow Jellies accidentally steps on Georgey's foot, the strong Jelly monster then screams in pain, causing an avalanche. Mario uses Pops as a sled and slides down the mountain, all the way to the Jellies base. As Mario and Pops are buried in snow, Georgey and his two Jelly companions pop out of the snow and head to the front door of the Base, with Mario and Pops following after him inside afterwards. The two find out that the base wasn't a base at all: It was a Jelly Factory. After Mario goes through the Jelly Factory's traps and puzzles, he finds Georgey in the central command room, where he is nearly done draining the Light Star's power. Mario and Pops attempt to defeat Georgey Jel, and succeed in doing so, leaving Crystal City free of the jellies and Mario with the Fifth Light Star. Back at the Light Pillar, the Light Stars tell Mario to go west, to the ranch themed town of "Wisturn Town".

Chapter 6: A Monty on a Molehill

Theme: Rocky Mountain, Mine
Partner: Minty (get it?)
Boss: Morty Miner (get it? Forty Niner) >:)
In order for Mario to reach Wisturn Town, he must take a train ride there from the Founder's Town Train Station. After reaching Wisturn Town, the engineer tells Mario that he can't go any further due to a rock blocking the way. After Mario destroys the rock with Bovvle, the engineer tells Mario that he still won't go due to the scary tales about Mega Mega Mountain, home of the Monty Moles. Left with no choice, Mario enters Wisturn Town, where he witnesses a bank robbery take place, and Mario chases the Robburs into an alley, where he fights them and retrieves the loot. The town Sheriff sees how Mario handled those Robburs, and makes Mario the town Deputy. Mario takes on the troubles of the townsfolk, similar to the Trouble Center of TTyD. After solving five troubles, the Sheriff wants to thank Mario by giving him whatever he wants. Mario asks to gain entrance to Mega Mega Mountain, and the Sheriff said that the only way to enter it is by opening the doorway with a Golden Monty, which has been lost. However, the Sheriff says that the Mayor could make a duplicate, but he just needs a nice nugget of gold. Mario searches for gold in the northern canyon of the Goomba Mines. After searching through the mines and finding some gold, Mario gets attacked by a giant Stone Goomba, which he defeats in the end. After giving the gold to the mayor of Wisturn Town, he melts the gold and puts it in a fill to make a Golden Monty replica. Mario pleads the train engineer to take him to Mega Mega Mountian, and he begrudgingly agrees. As soon as Mario gets dropped off at the Mountian, the engineer drives outta there in a flash. Left alone in the mountain, Mario places the Golden Monty replica in a little hole, which opens the door to the rest of the mountain. After entring the second room, Mario witnesses an army of angered Monty Moles pop out and prepare to throw rocks at the red plumber, however, some unknown being grabs him by his feet and drags him downward. The confused Montys decide that the intruder had ran out of there. Mario finds out that the being that dragged him from underground happened to be a young female Monty Mole named Minty (aren't I just clever?). Minty apologizes for being so rude to Mario and the state of her fellow Monty Moles. She tells Mario that this had been due to the mutiny of the greedy Morty Miner, who had captured and inprisoned her father King Montgomery. Minty agrees to join Mario in his quest. Her ability is digging in the ground to find any buried object, such as keys or items. After adventuring through the lengthy interior of the Mega Mega Mountain, Mario and Minty reach the cell of King Montgomery. After Mario frees him with his newly aquired Ultra Hammer, Morty bursts into the room with a mine cart full of gold, and Mario and Minty give chase. At the very top of the Mountain, Mario battles Morty and his mine cart. After his defeat, Morty gives up the gold, and Minty gives Mario the sixth Light Star, her most prized possession. Back on the light Pillar, the Six Light Stars tell Mario that the final Light Star is somewhere in the southeast, the Tick-Tock Region. Mario sets out to find a way to his next adventure.

Chapter 7: Troubled Times in the Tick-Tock-Tower

The Intelligent System Syndrome

There was a disease that caused gaming companies to make a game that ended their legacy. That disease was known as the intelligent system's disease, named after the disease's first victim. It was what caused the creation of "Super Paper Mario". And now the disease seems to have spread to Alphadream. Before the syndrome:
