Punie Rescue Mission

I got to the cutscene with only seconds remaining before the explosion. During the cutscene, the place exploded. I saved my game before the cutscene, so I got that game over everytime. PoisonMushroom (talk) 13:43, 29 January 2013 (EST)

Actually, the timer still goes on during the dialogue. If you have a game copy, play that. If not, start a new game or spam through the dialogue.Shroomed (talk) 19:10, 7 April 2014 (EDT)

Ms. Mowz Glitch?

I found this video on youtube, and this person did exactly what it said on, "More of Ms. Mowz". This is what I'm talking about. This guy seemed to have done everything right, and nothing out of the ordinary happened. --Fawful is epic and so are bagels. (talk) 17:42, 27 February 2013 (EST)

Death of Yux?

I will like to argue that Death of Yux glitch is not a glitch, reason: technically the mini-Yux are enemies and even have their own tattle log entry; even though they can't attack they are still an enemy. Zero777 (talk)

Hello is anybody there? Zero777 (talk)
I know, but it is originally not allowed to defeat Yux without defeating Mini-Yuxes--

Vivian's tail lines?

Sometimes when I'm playing normally with Vivian as my active partner, her tail glitches and starts looking like there are a bunch of small black lines going through it (going from one side of her tail to the other, but not going outside of her model/sprite), it doesn't seem to affect the gameplay at all though.

Tattle glitch?

When I went to Toast T.'s house, I made Goombella tattle as soon as I got in, and the door didn't fall down like usual until the tattle ended! Is that a glitch?

Alphabetical sorting makes "Drown and Enter" no longer make sense

The description of "Drown and Enter" was clearly written under the assumption that it would be listed below "Let Me In", but it is actually listed above that one, breaking the flow.

I think that either "Drown and Enter" should be rewritten to no longer be in reference to "Let Me In", or it should be listed as a sub-entry of "Let Me In" so that it does not get alphabetically sorted.

Could someone add this glitch?

I can't seem to find the edit button so could someone add this glitch? Paragoomba who walks. First go to petal meadows and find the first paragoomba. Lure it to one "swoop" distance of the fence (not the one near the pipe) go behind the fence so the paragoomba will "notice" you and swoop down in front of the fence. If done correctly, the paragoomba will get stuck behind the fence. If not, the paragoomba will get stuck in the air will less funny effects. If done correctly , standing on one side of the paragoomba (left & right) it will look normal. the other side will cause the paragoomba to spin around like crazy!

You can't find the edit button because you need to be autoconfirmed. Give it like four days, and you'll be good to go. I'll add the glitch for you though. (Remember to sign your comments)

KingKamek

Huh?

In the Disappearing Admiral Bobbery glitch, I don't get what or where the "passage above" is.

Lottery Cheat

There is a way to cheat in the Happy Lucky Lottery. It works only if you're playing on the GameCube (If you do this on the Wii it will not work). CalzoneManiac (talk) 22:37, 16 August 2014 (EDT)

Glitch (Japanese version)

If you get the Strange Sack from the Pit of 100 Trials before opening the blue cell in the Great Tree, after the Punio cutscene the sack will vanish, and all items that occupied slots 11-20 can be sold and used infinite times Proof:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7EDRGsbBBM + my own experience --201.143.230.138 00:04, 3 July 2015 (EDT)

Fish Glitch (Ms. Mouz)

When you hit the x button using Ms. Mouz, there are a few frames where you can still move while the text is coming up. If you flick the contol stick in the direction you want to go a split second after you hit x (but not immediately after), you will inch a bit in the direction you flicked. If you fall into water while Ms. mouz's text is coming up, you can regain control of Mario while he is high in the air by closing the textbox. The only useful place to use this is in the Rougeport Sewers, in the room with the two blue pipes that go to Chapter 6 and Chapter 5. If you use the fish glitch to get on top of the block, you can get into chapters 5 and 6 early without riding the Excess Express or Flavio's ship. After messing around, I managed to collect the Garnet Star twice and defeat Cortez with the Ultra Hammer and Ultra Boots. You can also get the Ice Touch badge before fighting your first embers.

Flavio stays with you for the whole game

So I found this glitch where Flavio will join your team for the whole game. Here's the proof. Can someone add it to the page?

When in Danger, Mario can't face northwest or northeast

It's kind of strange that this glitch has never been mentioned even once. Everyone who has ever played the North American version (most likely also Japanese, but maybe not European?) will have observed it at least once:

Whenever Mario is on the field while he has 5 HP or less, he performs a tired animation to show how close he is to expiring. There is no northwest/northeast variant of this animation, so the game forces him to face west or east in order to show the animation... but it forgets to release the lock whenever he moves, so he faces west or east just like his partners whenever he walks or runs north. This also means that he cannot swing his hammer to the northwest or northeast.

The direction lock releases when Mario transitions from one area to another (because he is reinitialized in memory), but it is added again as soon as he stands still. If he uses an item to heal his HP, the direction lock is not automatically released.

Glitch not listed

I know a glitch that's not listed on the page. I can't prove it, nor do I know how it works technically, but it's pretty simple to perform. I was hoping a more credited editor could check it out and add it. If you go to the Rogueport port (where the game starts and where the player first fights Crump), stand on the bollard, face east and use Koops's ability, holding X so he remains in place. Without letting go of the button, walk away so that Koops is offscreen (do not leave the area). Talk to an NPC. Koops should respawn next to you, with the splash animation occuring around him on dry land. I know this works between Chapters 1 and 2, and theoretically should work any times Koops is in party. It might not work if Flavio's or Cortez's ships are docked. If someone decides to check this out/ add it, thank you very much.

Just confirmed. I'll take GIF soon. --A gossip-loving Toad (Talk) 22:02, 21 January 2017 (EST)
Koops glitch at Rogueport Dock in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Now can someone confirm this on real console. Dolphin might be glitchy in graphics (like it screw up the Punis from Chapter 2).
PS This glitch also works even if Mario's facing west and/or not standing on the bollard, as long as Koops is far offscreen. If Koops is near the screen he'll just walk to the screen when Mario talks to an NPC.
I can confirm this works on real hardware, at least where I am 100% complete where Cortez is parked in the harbor (except for tattles). --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 23:14, 21 January 2017 (EST)
Sweet! Thank you so much. I've added it to the article. Feel free to improve the wording, of course. --A gossip-loving Toad (Talk) 23:37, 21 January 2017 (EST)

Puni Glitch

The Puni Glitch should be included in this page! This speedrun explains it when Mario enters The Great Tree! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CguPESVuZ3Y
