Description
"The key that opens the entrance to the station."
First appearance Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (2004)

The Station Key is a quest item found in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. It is needed during chapter 6 to open the entrance and a locked door in Riverside Station. The first Station Key can be obtained by talking to the Toad worker near the bridge. Mario uses the key to open the entrance. The second Station Key can be obtained in a back room that seems to be operating the clock on top of Riverside Station. The player must make use of the cogwheels and machinery in that room to reach a point, where the key can be collected by Koops' Shell Toss or reached with Yoshi's Flutter Jump. Once collected, the Station Key appears in the Special Items section of the Gear menu until it is used.
