Wii Version
Knuckles
Knuckles' fifth mission in the Wii version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is singles. To win his mission he must gain eleven points before his rival does, therefore defeating his rival. His rival for this mission is the fiery princess Blaze.
Bowser
Like Knuckles, singles is also Bowser's fifth mission in the wii version. The criteria however, are different. Knuckles must simply gain eleven points before his rival does but Bowser must both gain eleven points before his rival but there is an extra condition, he must smash the ball (hold B while swinging) a total of seven times.
Wario
Singles is Wario's first mission in the wii version. This mission is really easy, all Wario has to do is rally (pass back and forth) a shot twelve times. The biggest difficulty here is the opponent missing the ball when it comes to them. A remedy for that is to hold A while hitting to do a slow shot.
====Daisy===
Daisy's sixth mission adds a twist to the game of singles, it is her hardest mission and is found in the wii version. The pointing system in this mission is different as here, Daisy must gain only five points but in the real thing, she would have to gain eleven. The hard part of this mission is that points can only be gained by holding B when swinging, in other words, smashing the ball.
Yoshi
The fourth mission in the wii version for Yoshi is singles. To win he must do the same thing as Wario had to do in his fifth mission; continue a rally. The only difference between this mission and Wario's mission is that in this mission, Yoshi must rally three more times for a total of fifteen times.
