Steve just added a poll nomination thing at the bottom of the page; Maybe he saw this discussion. I'm thinking there should be a rule that you can't vote for your own, though; any thoughts? Marcelagus (T • C • E)

Subjects and Archiving

Do they have to be about Mario? At the moment, nothing is written regarding the subject of the poll. (also, as I read the poll suggestions, I have a feeling I've seen more than half of these on the forums... hmm...) Another thing: on the archives page, shouldn't we record results, as well? Garlic Man, I think your Mario girls poll is a good idea, but we should add more to it: Captain Syrup and Birdo should probably be on there (well... assuming that that wouldn't count as us expressing an opinion on the gender controversy). Stumpers! 22:47, 14 September 2008 (EDT)

Bad Idea

Why is this now like the Proposals page - Support, Oppose, Comments, etc? I don't like this idea any more. What was wrong with this system before? Oh, and why can't we at least put something decent on the Main Page instead of a message about something weird going on. Surely we can put a sort of filler Poll in for now?

This is a nice poll system. You guys seem to be getting a lot of participation in your polls, which average about 1,500 voters a week. With that large amount, we should be doing daily polls instead of weekly. We should also not completely limit poll questions to Mario polls, we could probably occasionally add in stuff about Nintendo and their other franchises. If we keep limiting ourselves to Mario polls, it'll soon become monotonous and we'll be running out of poll ideas. If we want to make the daily poll idea to work, we need a faster method of deciding the poll question of the day.Knife (talk) 23:12, 20 October 2008 (EDT)
