A Gravity Spotlight.

A Gravity Spotlight is a special light that shines on a wall or floor that makes the player who passes it have a drastic change of Gravity thereby either sucking the player up into it or pushing the player away therefore giving them the power to walk on walls. These lights are found in only one level (the very final one to be exact) of Super Mario Galaxy in Bowser's Galaxy Reactor's level The Fate of the Universe. In this level there are a total of eight spotlights, three of which will pull Mario to the next Planet and five which will allow Mario (or Luigi) to walk on walls. It appears in Super Mario Galaxy 2 with the same effect.
