Flour is a special Item found during the events of Paper Mario. It is one of the Items Princess Peach can obtain during the game and is never accessible to Mario. It appears in form of flour in a dark grey bowl and can be found along various other items in Princess Peach's Castle.
Flour plays an integral role during Princess Peach's interlude after chapter four. Princess Peach needs to sneak into the castles kitchen and make a cake for Gourmet Guy, so he would tell her where one of the Star Spirits are imprisoned. Peach has to make use of the flour along with Butter, Cream, Milk, Salt, Strawberries, and Sugar to bake a cake delicious enough for Gourmet Guy to eat. The ingredients need to be combined in the right order and then to be heated in an oven for 30 seconds in order to be able to complete the interlude task.
