Cream is part of what Princess Peach used to bake a cake for Gourmet Guy in Paper Mario so that she could get Mario the info he needed to know where the next Star Spirit was being held. The Cream was the second to last thing that Peach had to put on the cake to finish it.
Cream is based upon the real-world substance of the same name.
Its item description: Very rich and fresh cream.
