Azalea is a female golfer in the Mario Golf series. She is a human, as are many other golfers in the series. She first appeared in Mario Golf for the Game Boy Color as one of the four main playable characters. According to the manual, she was seventeen years old and is an experienced athlete who also runs track. A few years later, she was defeated by Kid, but after his career crippling accident she defeated Tiny and took the title as Champion of the Dunes course.
