Tadpole

Tadpoles are the early forms of frogs or toads that appear in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. For a while, Prince Mallow thought that he was a Tadpole, having been raised as one by Frogfucius and surrounded by other Tadpoles., but he turned out to be a cloud creature from Nimbus Land.

The Tadpoles are visited by Mario once at Tadpole Pond, when the hero meets Frogfucius. The Tadpoles mainly serve as a bridge to allow Mario to cross over the pond. A pair of Tadpoles started shops in the western part of Tadpole Pond. One made a Frog Coin Emporium, while the other started a Juice Bar. Both sell rare and helpful items, most obtainable nowhere else in the game.
