- In Super Mario 64, the reflection of the pool of liquit metal, serving as the entrance to the Hazy Maze Cave, shows an image of Princess Peach after Mario hopped in.
- A Super Mario-themed chess set was released by USAopoly in September 2009.
- An unnamed plumber resembling Wario appeared in the Episode Plumbers Academy of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!. The similarity was most likely coincidental however, since Wario's actual debut was several years later.
