Edit

Blhte(A****** c*****) 07:26, April 23, 2020 (EDT)

--Dine2017 (talk) 09:14, April 23, 2020 (EDT)

斜体Edit

 Blhte(A****** c*****) 01:02, August 7, 2021 (EDT)

Blhte(A****** c*****) 03:36, August 7, 2021 (EDT)

RE: typo on MarioWiki:JapaneseEdit

Hey, thanks for spotting that; I've removed the entire example since it has an English name now and two examples seemed like enough already.

I'm not sure what the proper spacing is myself but from what I've seen from titles of different media on Wikipedia and such, adding a space seems to usually be the case, so I'd agree with moving it.   Mario JC 06:49, August 7, 2021 (EDT)

It doesn't specify how to elongate names in cases like those but since they originate in Japanese, it would follow the same as hiragana. I added a point that hopefully clears it up.   Mario JC 00:56, August 25, 2021 (EDT)

RE: Problems with Template:foreign namesEdit

Not necessarily; if the name is only used in a particular game, the game in question would usually be named next to it.

If the name is the same, |Chi= can just be used to avoid redundancy.   Mario JC 06:27, August 20, 2021 (EDT)

RE: Coverage of quotesEdit

Quotes are valid information. No reason to not present info if it's valid; it's fine if there's a lot.   Mario JC 21:09, September 10, 2021 (EDT)

RE: Two questionsEdit

I've implemented the ability to add two more Japanese names. As for the second question, you may want to ask Porplemontage (talk).   Mario JC 07:20, September 19, 2021 (EDT)

If you think there are many cases like this for Chinese, I can add it, but if it doesn't occur very often for a language, it can just be done manually.
Personally I think the "Jap2R/M" convention is fine since it's consistent with "ChiSR/M" and "ChiTR/M", though you can gather community input on the talk page or the forums as well (albeit not as instantly).   Mario JC 09:03, September 19, 2021 (EDT)

RE: Spacing around 「」Edit

I hadn't considered that. I probably did use spaces at some point since I wasn't sure if there was such a rule, but stopped after they appeared 「too far」 apart. (In the case of that edit, I was reverting the anon's misuse of punctuation but didn't mean to re-add the spaces.) Do any browsers use these fonts? Otherwise it shouldn't be a problem since the majority browses in the default font and I think the only way someone would view in these fonts is if they used them in a custom CSS, which doesn't seem like a popular choice.   Mario JC 02:22, October 7, 2021 (EDT)

RE: MarioWiki:JapaneseEdit

It'd make sense to use katakana if the original source uses it too. I've changed it accordingly (and fixed the typo).   Mario JC 07:58, February 12, 2022 (EST)

Transcription errors from Smash Wii UEdit

It might help you if you can review some videos from YouTube to help verify any transcription bugs you come across. See this one for instance.   It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 01:02, June 28, 2022 (EDT)

RE: Thank youEdit

No problem! I was not aware you had planned on adding that information eventually. I can update the tables you made to match my formatting, since you seemed to prefer mine. — Lady Sophie   (T|C) 10:51, June 29, 2022 (EDT)

RE:Switch LiftEdit

Yeah, it's likely a typo. If transliterated over, it would sound like "Switch Blift", and of course "blift" isn't a real English word.   (T|C) 23:49, July 27, 2022 (EDT)

RE:Dotsusun vs DossunEdit

Yes, it's a typo (back then I used a program to locate words in an image in order to easily copy the Japanese text, however, it happened that sometimes it read a letter erroneously): it's definitely "スーパードスン" - Sūpā Dossun. Thank you for noticing it.   Mariuigi Khed 05:37, July 28, 2022 (EDT)

RE: MoveEdit

It's been moved; the categories would eventually need to be moved, too, but Porple's bot can help with the link fixes.   Mario JC 09:56, August 13, 2022 (EDT)

Re: PMTTYD bestiaryEdit

Yes, that is correct. Shadow2 (talk) 07:08, November 29, 2022 (EST)

RE: Questionable editEdit

What exactly are the questionable edits outside of the most recent one? I don't know which ones but if there are quotes they're deliberately changing to not match the in-game dialogue, you should let them know and tell them to cut it out. If they continue, then it may need to be escalated to a warning.   Mario JC 10:08, May 28, 2023 (EDT)

The Quotes I Made Up for the Toad With Olive Green Spots on His Mushroom Cap Who Walks Near Shroom Grocery and the Toad With Blue Spots on His Mushroom Cap to the Right of the Tree That Is Next to the Building with Shy Guy's Toy BoxEdit

Sorry I made up a quote for the Toad with olive green spots on his mushroom cap who walks near Shroom Grocery in the entrance scene of Toad Town where he would say that he could not give out any news at the moment as well as a quote for the Toad with blue spots on his Mushroom cap who stands to the right of the tree that is next to the building with Shy Guy's Toy Box where he would realize that all of the rumors including Mario's trip to Lavalava Island are facts.--Carlitosbug (talk) 09:45, July 18, 2023 (EDT)

RE: Collective nameEdit

Create it as a disambiguation page listing the four cards, and it can be put under the special items category but with an asterisk to show it's a "category" item: [[Category:Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door special items|*]]   Mario JC 06:44, February 2, 2024 (EST)

RE: "Minor NPC"Edit

I think "unnamed NPCs" would make more sense anyway. It's more specific and objective, since there'd be some NPCs people may consider minor but are named and were not listed, and "unnamed" clears any confusion.   Mario JC 06:07, February 6, 2024 (EST)
