Where as Mushrooms recover HP, Syrups recover FP. With two exceptions, there is a Syrup for every Mushroom in the Paper Mario series, along with Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga.
- Mushroom = Honey Syrup
- Super Shroom = Maple Syrup
- Ultra Shroom = Jammin' Jelly
- Slow Shroom = Gradual Syrup
- Max Mushroom = Royal Syrup
The Nitro Honey Syrup is never witnessed, but is mentioned in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. (Supposedly, it is capable of raising the dead.) The Jammin' Jelly recovers the most FP in the game, barring the Jelly Candy.
In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Syrups recover BP.
In Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story Syrups recover SP; the eqivilent of SS's Bp.
