Spike Balls are objects found in New Super Mario Bros.. They appear normally in castle levels, being an obstacle, rolling around and smashing everything that Mario has to avoid. Occasionally, some Spiked Balls appear with chains attached to a pivot, swinging in circles.
There is also a giant type of spiked balls that is more dangerous than the normal one. Mega Mario can destroy both, but the Giant Spiked Balls can take out the little ones.
