Chump Charity is an event in Mario Party 8 that replaced the Last Five Turns Event from all the other games of the series. It takes place at the beginning of the last five turns and is hosted by MC Ballyhoo. First, like in all games before, Ballyhoo gives out the current standings. Then, he gives the player in last place either a piece of candy or 30 coins. After that, his hat Big Top will shower the entire board with coins, placing a Coin Bag on Red Spaces, and 1 coin on every other space unoccupied by players at the time.

In Duel mode, there is an almost identical version of this event called Special Bonus. Here, MC gives out the standings, then lets the losing player use the dart wheel to get a prize. It could be candy, coins, or nothing at all.
