Ground decorations
As stated above, ground in the Super Mario Maker series (Super Mario Maker, Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS, and Super Mario Maker 2) has a chance to appear with a ground decoration above it (excluding the Super Mario 3D World game style). There are four different types that can appear, being a 1x1 tile large decoration, a 1x2 large, 1x3, and 3x1.
In the Super Mario Bros. game style, they are:
*1x1 large ground decorations:
**Ground theme: a circular green bush.
**Underground theme: two small blue mushrooms.
**Underwater theme: a small rock.
**Desert theme: a small pale cactus.
**Snow theme: a circular white bush.
**Sky theme: a singular white flower.
**Forest theme: two small brown mushrooms.
***In the night variant of the forest theme, they become small, green kelp.
*1x2 large ground decorations:
**Ground theme: a small green horsehair plant.
**Underground theme: a small blue curly plant.
**Underwater theme: a small rock pillar.
**Desert theme: a medium pale cactus.
**Snow theme: a small white horsehair plant.
**Sky theme: a small green horsehair plant.
**Forest theme: a small green horsehair plant.
***In the night variant of the forest theme, they become large, green kelp.
*1x3 large ground decorations:
**Ground theme: a large green horsehair plant.
**Underground theme: a large blue curly plant.
**Underwater theme: a large rock pillar.
**Desert theme: a large pale cactus.
**Snow theme: a large white horsehair plant.
**Sky theme: a large green horsehair plant.
**Forest theme: a large green horsehair plant.
*3x1 large ground decorations:
**Ground theme: a green bush.
**Underground theme: a skeleton laying on the ground.
**Underwater theme: a wide rock.
**Desert theme: a skeleton laying on the ground.
**Snow theme: a white bush.
**Sky theme: a three-post fence.
**Forest theme: a green, spiny bush.
***In the night variant of the forest theme, they become a brown skeleton, laying on the ground.

Ground decorations[edit]

As stated above, ground in the Super Mario Maker series (Super Mario Maker, Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS, and Super Mario Maker 2) has a chance to appear with a ground decoration above it (excluding the Super Mario 3D World game style). There are four different types that can appear, being a 1x1 tile large decoration, a 1x2 large, 1x3, and 3x1. In the Super Mario Bros. game style, they are:

  • 1x1 large ground decorations:
    • Ground theme: a circular green bush.
    • Underground theme: two small blue mushrooms.
    • Underwater theme: a small rock.
    • Desert theme: a small pale cactus.
    • Snow theme: a circular white bush.
    • Sky theme: a singular white flower.
    • Forest theme: two small brown mushrooms.
      • In the night variant of the forest theme, they become small, green kelp.
  • 1x2 large ground decorations:
    • Ground theme: a small green horsehair plant.
    • Underground theme: a small blue curly plant.
    • Underwater theme: a small rock pillar.
    • Desert theme: a medium pale cactus.
    • Snow theme: a small white horsehair plant.
    • Sky theme: a small green horsehair plant.
    • Forest theme: a small green horsehair plant.
      • In the night variant of the forest theme, they become large, green kelp.
  • 1x3 large ground decorations:
    • Ground theme: a large green horsehair plant.
    • Underground theme: a large blue curly plant.
    • Underwater theme: a large rock pillar.
    • Desert theme: a large pale cactus.
    • Snow theme: a large white horsehair plant.
    • Sky theme: a large green horsehair plant.
    • Forest theme: a large green horsehair plant.
  • 3x1 large ground decorations:
    • Ground theme: a green bush.
    • Underground theme: a skeleton laying on the ground.
    • Underwater theme: a wide rock.
    • Desert theme: a skeleton laying on the ground.
    • Snow theme: a white bush.
    • Sky theme: a three-post fence.
    • Forest theme: a green, spiny bush.
      • In the night variant of the forest theme, they become a brown skeleton, laying on the ground.

crap in the final article i should probably remove where it says 'as stated above' because there is no longer an above.
