Pirate Gooms (also known as Spear Men) are brown Gooms that hold spears in Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 and Wario Land II. They pace back and forth in most of the levels and make an easy kill. Their spears are pointed forward so obviously don't hit them from the front.

Pirate Gooms are likey a distant relative of the Goomba. In fact, because of their apparent lack of a body, they highly resemble Super Mario World Goomba variety.
