- Mario Kart Arcade GP (logo pictured) is the first Mario Kart game to be developed by a third-party company (Namco, now Bandai Namco) and the first to have non-Nintendo characters.
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the first and so far the only Super Smash Bros. installment to not feature stages or music stage themes from the original Super Smash Bros.
- Nintendo Power mistakenly and frequently referred to Dixie Kong as Daisy Kong.
- Larry Koopa and Ludwig Von Koopa are the only two Koopalings whose placement in birth order was officially confirmed.
