An article annoucing the game in the UK [[Cd-i]] magazine stated implies that [[Yoshi]] was meant to be the character kidnapped by [[Bowser]] instead of [[Princess Peach]] and stated that Bowser "conquered" every [[Koopa Hotel|Hotels]] in the Mushroom Kingdom instead of having build them himself. However, this could be an error on the magazine's end.

These are beta elements pertaining to Hotel Mario.

Beta Elements

There are two beta cutscenes stored in the game.

One is a scene where Mario pushes a button with a tag saying "I'm your biggest fan." The giant fan then starts up and clears up the clouds. The other shows Mario breaking open a giant piggy bank with a hammer and the coins fall out. He then says "So this is where Wendy hid the real coins."
