Defuse or Lose.

Defuse or Lose is a 2 vs. 2 mini-game in Mario Party 5.

The object of the game is simple enough: to not let the fuse reach Big Bob-omb. To do this, players and their teammate must Ground Pound the three fuses, which follow a set trail. The fuses will rekindle not too long after they are extinguished, so the players must continually put them back out. If the fire or spark reaches King Bob-omb, that team loses.

The mini-game features the only appearance of Big Bob-omb in Mario Party 5. In the background are some big Bob-omb shaped sculptures. Also, surrounding the player are a big group of Bob-ombs. If the player loses, King Bob-omb explodes, making the player's character, his or her teammate and the Bob-ombs all fly away.
