Hello, Whoismacaroni. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the {{aboutfile}} template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded syntax is shown below. {{aboutfile
|1=Subject of the image
|2=Where you found the image
|3=Artist
|4=Describe edits, if any
|5=Other versions (use file link)
}}
Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line for the parameter(s) you don't use. A description of the image subject (parameter |
Hi! When uploading files, make sure to include the "aboutfile" template when you do. As of right now, you're uploading Mario Kart World screenshots with just a description and the source. I can help you with this!
Because you're only uploading the description and source of the files, you only need the first two parameters. Here's what you have to do:

|2=(Source)
}}
It's supposed to show the template vertically, but you can take a look at one of my edits here on how I put the information in the right spots.

IdentifiersEdit
Keep in mind that titles with identifiers (the labels in parentheses), like Mario Circuit (Mario Kart World), should have the part in parentheses hidden, so it should use a piped link:
[[Mario Circuit (Mario Kart World)|Mario Circuit]]

File categories/namesEdit
Remember that file categories should only use image-type categories, like "Mario Kart World screenshots", "assets", "artwork" etc. Categories like "Mario Kart World items" are only for articles of that type.
I also recommend you give your files more descriptive titles; while there's no set convention, something like "File:(game title) (subject).png" (e.g. "File:MKWorld ice cream icon.png") would be better than just "File:Icecream.png". Mario JC 09:09, May 15, 2025 (EDT)

- You're still using general subject categories like "items" and "race courses" for images. Images should only use image-specific categories (in this case, "Mario Kart World screenshots"). Also, please make sure to check any other relevant articles (or even the image category) to see if the images exist before uploading your own; the Dash Food article has a whole gallery of the available foods in the game, including ones you uploaded duplicates of.

As an encyclopedia site, we write in third-person and not from a specific person's point of view or referring directly to the reader, so the term "the player", or the character's name, should instead be used in the pronouns' place. |
