| First appearance | Super Mario Maker (2015) |
| Latest appearance | Super Mario Maker 2 (2019) |
| Variant of | Spike Top |
The blue variety of Spike Tops appear as enemies in Super Mario Maker and Super Mario Maker 2. They are faster than their normal counterparts, making them harder to avoid. They behave the same as Spike Tops in previous games. Like normal Spike Tops, these can be used in the four original styles, but are absent from Super Mario 3D World. Applying wings to one will have it fly faster than the normal , similarly to a Para-Beetle, except it will cause damage if stood on without a Goomba's Shoe or Yoshi. If a Spike Top is crawling on a slope or a One-Way Wall, it can be defeated by stomping on its underside.
Although this goes unused in New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Yoshi can eat Spike Tops and bounce off of them in all three games.
