My Community Story

I have been a part of NIWA since December 2013 when I joined Bulbapedia under the name Icestar649 (those were dark times). I was an on an off member of that community through the Bulbagarden Forums prior to joining the Mario Boards.I joined the Boards in May 2016 as a result of a Pokemon Tournament being held for the annual Awards season. I joined the Boards alongside, and thanks to another user, Hooded Pitohui (talk), who is a long time friend of mine. After disappearing for about a year I came back to the community for the 2017 Pokemon Tournament as a part of Awards season. I finally became an "official" member of the community as a result of the 'Shroom Killing Game which got me interacting with many members. Near the conclusion of the game I also ran from 'Shroom Sub-Director for about a day in a failed campaign which led me to start writing for the publication as a result. This was the real start of my journey here at the Mario Boards/Wiki.

Since joining I have been up to a good bit. I have authored two 'Shroom sections which I love writing, Selling Out and 'Shroom Recap, I been a member of the Ninth Poll Committee, participated in the 2nd Awards Killing Game, presented at the 2018 Community Awards, and became Director of The 'Shroom. I hope to accomplish and contribute more to this wonderful place.

About Me

I'm a 19-year-old American currently studying at a small east coast university. While I am undecided right now, I do have an unbridled passion for writing and creating which has led to writing for the 'Shroom as a result. In my creative pursuits, I often write poetry or short stories too and have self-published an anthology of the former. It is my hope within the next few years to get a novel traditionally published as well. When I am not writing I am often conversing with Hooded Pitohui (talk), or many other individuals. I also spend a great deal of time playing Pokemon, Zelda, and Etrian Odyssey.
