The Red Luma is a supporting character in Super Mario Galaxy and its sequel. Appearing after the Bedroom is unlocked, the Red Luma says that they have a secret and won’t tell, but is later shown to harness the power of the Red Stars.

Super Mario Galaxy
After the Bedroom is unlocked, the Red Luma is found on top of it. Once gone into the Gateway Galaxy after collecting all the Grand Stars, the red Luma will appear after Rosalina’s speech. He then gives Mario/Luigi the Red Star powerup. Red Luma explains that they will gain Mario’s trust after he collects all 100 Purple Coins, and that the Red Star will be used somewhere else. After collecting the red Power Star, the red Luma says that Mama let him use the Red Star as much as he wants.
Super Mario Galaxy 2
A red Luma, unknown if the same one from the first game, appears on Starship Mario shortly and tells the player to stop lollygagging around and collect the Power Stars. They might have secret dialogue after The Perfect Run is completed.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie
Red Lumas appear in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. They act the same as regular Lumas under the rule of Rosalina.
