Is there a reason for why the borther's overalls were still red/green and not blue? Paper Jorge (Talk·Contribs)
.... I dunno. -- Sir Grodus
DiC's Super Mario cartoon trilogy, though awesome in it's own way, was highly inacurate, in character designs, names and various other aspects. The color of Mario and Luigi's overalls was just one of DiC's mistakes. -- Sir Grodus
Koopling names.[edit]
The Koopling names are different in this show. Is it for copy right reasons? I am goombob and I love paper mario games (talk) 19:44, 16 May 2013 (EDT)Goombob
- According to the Koopalings article, "the Koopalings were all given different names in the cartoons, purportedly because Nintendo of America had not released their own names yet, forcing the writers of The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 to come up with their own names."
It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 19:46, 16 May 2013 (EDT)

That's because when they auction off original animation artwork they often mix up cels amd backgrounds from different shows and studios, probably unintentionally

Steam version?[edit]
Should we mention the Steam release of this? The show is available on Steam (only in US, sadly), so I guess it should be mentionned somewhere... --Metalex123 (talk) 04:59, 24 September 2017 (EDT)
Episodes[edit]
How many episodes were there? We should have that information on the beginning of this page. Lord Falafel (talk) 00:46, July 31, 2019 (EDT)
Live Action[edit]
I haven't seen any video proof of these so called "live action" segments. Can somebody please show me some video proof? I'manumber1 (talk) 19:04, October 25, 2021 (EDT)

Rocky Wrench voice actor[edit]
Who voiced Rocky Wrench in this show? I bet someone had voiced them since Up, Up and a Koopa has them growling throughout and also shouting "WHOA!" when Toad pulled out the magnet. If anyone knows please tell me. MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 01:07, November 15, 2021 (EST)
Danish live-action segments[edit]
How should the information for each of the Danish live-action segments be added? Apikachu68 (talk) 22:16, December 9, 2024 (EST)
- I added the links for the segments. Apikachu68 (talk) 01:37, January 27, 2025 (EST)
Koopalings name change[edit]
So umm, is there really any proof of the koopalings names being changed cuz of like the show being in production before the koopalings have names, I mean didn’t the American version of smb3 came out like 6 months or 7 months before the show was aired, that was like enough time for dic to like give the koopalings their game names
(Probably a dumb thing to talk about but like it’s a thing that’s been on my mind for a bit and there’s like 0 proof backing up the “cuz the show was in production before they had names” thing.)
Tntbird (talk). 01:12, June 10, 2025 (EDT)
- Creating an episode of animated television itself often takes 6 months. So it's entirely feasible. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 23:38, June 10, 2025 (EDT)
Production order[edit]
I discovered the US Copyright Office has a different production order for The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 than the production numbers used on the WildBrain YouTube channel. They seem to line up to both archived listings of the show's storyboards as well as the King Koopa Katastrophe release and the Spain DVD releases of the show. These can be found by searching "Super Mario 3" on the US Copyright Catalog. Should these be the standard production codes on the main articles? SoshiTheYoshi
Arabic dub/recut[edit]
Doing a bit of digging around for the DiC cartoons' international presence, I spotted a couple wiki pages (one on the Dubbing Wiki and another on the Arabic version of Wikipedia) claiming that this show and the Super Mario World cartoon were edited into a single show, simply called Super Mario (سوبر ماريو), for Middle Eastern broadcasters. The two pages appear to conflict with one another regarding some specifics, with the Dubbing Wiki dating the recut to 1995 and Arabic Wikipedia pinning it down to 1990-1992. Despite these discrepancies, some quick Google searching (and liberal use of Google Translate) indicates that this version of the show did indeed exist.
I myself don't speak Arabic, so I can only do so much in regards to research, but it does bring up an interesting question: if we find enough material to give a clearer picture about this recut, would it need its own article or could it simply be covered within the pages for The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World? Bowserbros (talk) 18:41, September 13, 2025 (EDT)
- Watching some of the episodes of the recut while trying to find foreign names for The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 and the Super Mario World television series; I noticed that many episodes of the recut cut out or rearrange the scenes in the original episode, sometimes using scenes from other episodes or creating a new story altogether. For example, the Super Mario World episode "The Night Before Cave Christmas," a Christmas-themed episode, was renamed "عيد الكهف الهادئ" ('Eyd alkhf alhad'e, "Silent cave holiday") in the recut, and omits most scenes showing Mario dressed as Santa Claus. The recut of this episode also features clips from the episodes "Fire Sale," "The Yoshi Shuffle," and even "True Colors," the latter being from The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3. The recut also features a new opening theme song created for the show, showing clips from The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World. I'd say this recut should receive its own page, given these differences and our coverage of Captain N & The Video Game Masters and Super Mario All-Stars, which are compliations of episodes from the Super Mario cartoons.
- The Cantonese dub of The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 and the Super Mario World television series also combines episodes from both shows together, though the dub does not change the structure of the episodes and only makes small changes to the dialogue in the episode at most, in which case the changes in the dub can be mentioned on their respective articles.
