I was adding the physical games to the year articles before being clarified that physical games are merchandise and shouldn't be on the year articles (which I disagree with, but that's a proposal for another day). When I came across this page, I noticed something strange with what the article claims as the release date. As the title suggests, this is a mini pinball game that was included in boxes of Nintendo Cereal System. The article claims this game released in 1986 as per the copyright date on the game, while the Nintendo Cereal System was released in 1988. And from my knowledge, these games were only released within these cereal boxes. This could be a similar situation to the Donkey Kong physical games with 1981 as their copyright year, where they were actually released afterward since licensing didn't start until 1982. There's other examples within newer physical games. Super Mario Top Trumps Match was released in 2021 despite it's components having the copyright date of 2019. Copyright dates don't always mean they were released in the year shown.
