Scope and focus[edit]

Prize Block from Super Mario World This talk page or section has a conflict or question that must be answered. Please try to help and resolve the issue by leaving a comment.

This discussion is loosely related to a series of similar discussions regarding the odd state of "alter-egos" from The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!.

As of writing this, this scope of this article is largely focused on Giant Mario, whereas Koop-zilla was a redirect to King Koopa's alter egos, which is a highly unusual arrangement considering that Koop-zilla is effectively the same transformation. As noted on one of those discussions, "although Koop-zilla is mentioned on [this] page, most of the information is slanted to focus more on Mario, even the page's name, despite Giant Mario having an overall smaller role in the episode they both originate from."

There's also the matter of how, on the King Koopa's alter egos page itself, Koop-zilla's coverage is currently limited to a very, very brief passage and a secondary mention in the naming section. And given the state of both articles, I feel most of Koop-zilla's coverage would be more suited for this page. (For clarity, I do not mean to entirely remove the info from the King Koopa's alter egos page altogehter, I imagine the more likely outcome for that page is that it's Koop-zilla section would remain largely untouched, but would be updated to include a link to this page instead.)

I'm not entirely sure how to rebalance/refocus the page properly, but nonetheless, I feel that it's an issue which needs to be addressed. Any thoughts or ideas? Wandering Poplin (talk) 19:51, July 8, 2026 (UTC)
