(First topic)[edit]

Any information not stated in the SSB trophies should be removed from this article (like info about Krystal, who was not introduced into the series yet). Use the Princess Zelda article as an example. -- Son of Suns

Yeah, and do we really need that Falcoparagraph? That doesn't even concern Smash Bros. -Dodo
If it is content that can be drawn from the trophy descriptions (of any trophies featuring the Star Fox series), it is ok. If it has additional information, it is not. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 15:49, 22 July 2007 (EDT)
Uh-huh... That's kind of the reason we post the actual description for the trophy here. --Dodo

That paragraph isn't even correct. The manuals for the Fox games say that Slippy is Fox's best friend.InfectedshroomInfectoicon.png 19:20, 8 November 2007 (EST)

Then, what is Falco to Fox? User:Pokemon DP/sig
He's an valuable pilot for the Star Fox Squad. He's supposed to be an ace flyer.InfectedshroomInfectoicon.png 17:59, 10 November 2007 (EST)
OK, I'm gonna remove that section. I play Star Fox, but not too many games. D: User:Pokemon DP/sig I WANT LYLAT WARS (Star Fox 64)!!
Good. Thanks. :D InfectedshroomInfectoicon.png

gallery[edit]

does this page not have a gallery?--Poponana2 (talk) 17:52, 13 August 2014 (EDT)

It doesn't. You can however, create a gallery section with <gallery></gallery>. If you need help on making these galleries, don't hesitate to ask! Sprite of Mario's icon in Mario Party DS It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 17:58, 13 August 2014 (EDT)

First game appearence[edit]

I'm not too knowledgable about star fox but that nintendo power comic he's listed to originate from seems to have come out in March, and star fox SNES released in february in japan. (all 1993). Can someone else confirm? N1NTENDUDE 64 12/14/2025 10:57 PM EST

Move back to Fox McCloud?[edit]

Prize Block from Super Mario World This talk page or section has a conflict or question that must be answered. Please try to help and resolve the issue by leaving a comment.

This page was renamed from Fox McCloud to just Fox because of this proposal, the argument being that Fox's most prominent appearances within Super Mario-related media is in the SSB series, which refers to him as just Fox (outside of some of his profiles). However, now he's had a major role in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, where he introduces himself with his full name. Since this movie is within the Super Mario franchise, I think this article should be renamed accordingly. I need more wrenches... Dive Rocket Launcher 22:08, April 6, 2026 (UTC)

As the person who originally proposed the move, I have no issue with moving it back if it's determined that "Fox McCloud" is his primary name in the movie. The page was in a weird state before where the only reason it still existed was because of one appearance in a non-English comic, so we didn't really have anywhere to look for his primary name except Smash, but that's no longer the case with his appearance in the movie. (I guess it could technically be argued that Smash, being a game, should take priority over a movie per naming source priority, but that would be silly and the policy should probably be tweaked a bit to put movies higher on the priority list.) Pretty sure the credits just list him as "Fox," and other than the introduction he's usually just called as such (when he's namedropped at all). Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 11:32, April 7, 2026 (UTC)
I recall the credits using his full name... I might be misremembering though. I need more wrenches... Dive Rocket Launcher 06:05, April 8, 2026 (UTC)
Costume Mario refers to him as Fox McCloud. That's in Super Mario Maker, a Mario game. SeanWheeler (talk) 05:18, April 10, 2026 (UTC)
It seems the credits do use "Fox McCloud". Hewer (talk · contributions · edit count) 11:03, April 16, 2026 (UTC)
Meh. I'm fine with sticking with just "Fox". Per MarioWiki:Article naming, in-game names take higher priority than movies, and he's consistently referred to as just "Fox" in the Super Smash Bros. series, which are considered Super Mario-related games, so I personally don't think this article needs its name moved back to "Fox McCloud". Wilben (talk) 23:19, April 14, 2026 (UTC)
If he's referred to as "Fox McCloud" in Super Mario Maker, a Super Mario series game, then this is definitely a valid name for the article. The Dab Master 11:16, April 16, 2026 (UTC)
I'd be in support for renaming the article. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi at 11:20, April 16, 2026 (UTC)
