25m countermelody[edit]

"with the "Round 1 BGM" melody from Donkey Kong used as the countermelody" Where in the song is this supposed to be the case? I'm not hearing this anywhere, at least not near the end Kong Bananza section as stated. MindForged (talk) 00:54, September 29, 2025 (EDT)

It's played by the violins section. It's a bit quiet, but you may have an easier time locating it while listing to the instrumental version. Dominoes (talk) 01:44, September 29, 2025 (EDT)
Yeah I was listening to the instrumental here with a headset. I'm not hearing it in any portion using violin. Just to do a sanity check I pulled them up in Audition and I'm not seeing it there visually in the waveforms either. I think this a mistake. MindForged (talk) 01:59, September 29, 2025 (EDT)
I listened to it again and it's there. The violins start playing staccato notes at around a high register of G5 - A6 (hence why they are not as obvious as in the sections before this) when the backup vocals start at 3m47s (measure 1 of the Kong Bananza section), and then they play the melody at around 3m56s (bar 5-6). This might be a skill issue on my part. I can't hear it in that sectionm just some harmonic overlap. Carry on! Edit: Found the sheet music. Assumiong that's accurate to the original, you're right, it's definitely there around 3:57. MindForged (talk) 10:45, September 29, 2025 (EDT)
