The Special Kinoko Police, shortened in SKP, is a subdivision force of the Kinoko Police that Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi joins in Super Mario Bros. 4: Super Mario World 6 of the Super Mario Kodansha manga.

The Mushroom King creates the subdivision (or was already created but nobody was running it) when Mario asks to help in the investigation of the Hōmotsu-kan robbery, and the King gives him a SKP badge (which is later revealed to be a Super Star, granting Mario invincibility when he directly holds it). Luigi, while not directly promoted to detective, and Yoshi (already working part-time for the Kinoko Police) join Mario. The Baby Yoshis and the Tricolored Yoshis (it is unclear if the two groups are formed by the same individuals) are also part of the SKP as assistants.

While the SKP does not directly take orders from the police chief, in the fourth chapter the SKP is ordered by the Kinoko Police Captain to secure the White Kinoko region from the presumed-dangerous yeti.

In each chapter, the SKP has a different role in the Kinoko Police operation: detectives in the first chapter, negotiators and swat team in the second one, security and firefighters in the third one, and public guards in the last one.
