Locked Out is a battle minigame found in Mario Party 3. Being "locked out" means that one cannot get inside a room or building because they do not have the key to the door.

Gameplay

Players attempt to grab the key with the same mark as the doors' designs; there is always one less key than the amount of players. Players without keys can punch other players with keys to make them drop the keys. If one of the players fails to swipe/get the correct key, that player will stay in that room. The first player that reaches the end of the three rooms with the correct key wins.

Controls

  • Control Stick – Move
  • A Button – Pick Up / Drop Key
  • B Button – Attack

In-game text

  • Game Rules"Grab a key, then open a door! The mark on the key must match the door, or it won't open!"
  • Advice"If you attack a character, he or she will drop the key! Steal a key when you get the chance!"
