The Pixelland[1] is the setting of the NES Classics microsite. It contains all four of the pixel codes, which are visually similar to KONG Letters. In addition to the codes, the area contains a cage containing Donkey Kong that the player (controlling Jimmy) can open by finding a blue key (upon which they can download a Donkey Kong wallpaper), a statue of R.O.B. containing information on prizes that the user can win by submitting the correct code after finding all of the pixel codes, a Nintendo Entertainment System and CRT television that contains information on the contest, a copy of Classic NES Series: Donkey Kong with information on the Classic NES Series series of games, and a Game Boy Advance SP with information on the game system.
In addition, the player can walk to the left or right and be taken to an additional screen; to the right is a screen with girders and a series of blocks that the player must platform up in order to obtain the "G" pixel code, in addition to a blue key on the floor that the player can use to free Donkey Kong. To the left is another platforming section where the player can obtain the "K" and "O" pixel codes. Once the player has found all the codes, they can input them by visiting the Nintendo Entertainment System on the main screen.
