| Appears in | Super Mario Kodansha manga ("Dream Start! Nintendo 64 Strategy Guide: Training Edition") (1996) |
GeGeGe no Chichi is a disguise Luigi adoperates while simultaneously already being disguised as Bowser's iteration from Super Mario 64, that appears in the introduction chapter of Super Mario 64 1 of the Super Mario Kodansha manga. He is a human-like figure with an eyeball (possibly a Mr. I) as a face. Clothing and size aside, this exact appearance is the same as Medama-Oyaji from GeGeGe no Kitarō, hence the name.
Having already tried the Nintendo 64 and wanting to prepare Mario for what he will be facing in Super Mario 64, Luigi disguises himself as Bowser and then as GeGeGe no Chichi, offering to Mario his Nintendo 64-shaped training room to really master his upcoming trials. Scared by the new enemies he will be facing, Mario tries to leave, so Luigi drops his first disguise and starts chasing Mario and Princess Peach as Bowser.
