The photo caption doesn't actually say it's Mario's mother getting sprayed in the face. So unless it mentions it somewhere else in Family Album "The Early Years", saying it's her is just speculation; for all we know, she could be a nanny, or an aunt. - Walkazo 20:01, 7 December 2008 (EST)

There's no indication that Mario ever had a nanny ("Little Marios" shows Mama Mario as a stay-at-home mom) or having a blonde aunt, but if you want to change all uses of the picture to say that it's not explicitly Mama, that's fine. Stumpers! 22:06, 7 December 2008 (EST)
But, that would bring up a sticky issue: we don't know that that's Mario's father either. It could be an uncle who used his father's pipe... honestly, I'd just assume that the artists expect us to draw some conclusions in this case. Maybe we should ask others what they think? Well it says family album, so I would assume immediate family. I think there is a point when we can say logically that something is something, because we can never be 100% sure of everything anyways. We don't know it's the same Mario in each game (well, there are some indications it is for some games) but we make the assumption it is because it simply makes sense. -- Son of Suns (talk)

I only brought it up because the skinny blonde is an anomaly in the thick-set Mama Mario motif, and if she's not Mama, everything would fit together a whole lot nicer. While I think you're right and we're meant to assume the blonde's Mama, the lack of identification does give us a little wiggle-room, as it were. - Walkazo 22:39, 7 December 2008 (EST)

Of course, but when has Nintendo been consistent with anything? ;) -- Son of Suns (talk)
I think I might still go back and note that it's not explicitly stated to be Mama, good points both ways. Stumpers! 00:19, 8 December 2008 (EST)
Sounds good! - Walkazo 20:12, 8 December 2008 (EST)
