Summary[edit]

File information for Mario (Swim) - Mario Party 5.webp
Info
Description Animation of Mario swimming.
Source Ripped and applied animation. Files extracted with Dolphin Emulator. Model is taken from MESH_mario00.z.hsf from data/mario.bin. Animation is from MOTION_Mario_35.z.hsf. Used Party Studio v.4.6.0. to rip .dae files, then imported to 3DS Max 2020. Due to the uploader initially wanting to port this into Garry's Mod, the file had its vertices and normals cleaned up, and it was eventually exported to .dmx files as references and sequences and, with Crowbar v.0.74, compiled through a .qc file into a readable .mdl file and then viewed in Half-Life Model Viewer set to a bright green background. The basic lighting seemed to work very well showing the model, so the uploader decided to capture the Half-Life Model Viewer with ScreenToGif as a .webp. GIMP was used to remove the background. Maybe there is a more efficient way of doing this.
Artist "Nintendo staff" according to Mario Party 5 staff credits. We cannot confirm which part of the studio animated this, but since the animation is likely reused from Mario Party 4, the characters credits is a good guess.
