Drago is fought in the 59th round and has 16 HP. Its special attack is to become red and spit fire, turning all bombs onscreen into enemies. Drago can throw enemies and teleport around, like other bosses. If Drago teleports on Toad, the latter loses instantly.

In the [[Super Mario (Kodansha manga)|''Super Mario'' Kodansha manga]], Drago is the last of [[Fauster]]'s summoned helpers to enter the scene. During the second act of the [[Super Mario: Wario no Mori|''Wario's Woods'' volume]], Wario's base is near a canyon where the giant statue of Drago stands. Later, when [[Mario]], [[Princess Peach]], and [[Birdo]] arrives on the scene, Fauster uses a [[Diamond]] to awake the statue. Drago is completely immune to the bombs, but following [[Chiyōrō-sama]]'s suggestion, Mario uses a [[Cape Feather|cape]] to fly around it and take the Diamond that awakened it from its head, turning it back to stone and making it crumble to pieces.

Drago also appears in volume 13 of ''[[Super Mario-Kun]]'' as a machine created by Wario and his monsters. To activate it, Wario transfers part of his personality into it, making it aggressive and cruel, but also insecure of his body, capable of making deadly farts and having a soft spot for the ladies, which is ultimately how he is won over, by using [[Birdo]] as a damsel for him to cuddle.
