Box is by taking damage, which additionally replaces Mario changing to a weaker form upon taking damage. If Mario touches the [[Goal Pole]] with the ? Box, it disappears and gives an [[extra life]]. While wearing a ? Box, Mario will gain [[coin]]s while he moves.
